How to Setup Email Notifications

Want to receive email notifications as soon as a site visitor answers your UserFeedback survey?

Follow this guide to learn how to enable notifications, as well as set conditional logic for these notifications, to keep informed about your site visitor’s experience while browsing your site.

Step 1: To begin, Edit an existing survey at UserFeedback » Surveys, or start by creating a new survey by clicking on Create New.

Step 2: Once you’ve configured the Questions and Settings of your survey, proceed to the Notifications page.

Step 3: Enable the Send Email option, and add your email address.

If you would like to send notifications of your survey to multiple people, separate each email address with a comma.

Step 4: You’re all set to proceed to the next step at this point, but you also have the option of enabling conditional logic.

To start, check the Enable Conditional Logic option and new fields will appear, where you can set the conditions for an email notification to be sent.

The options will vary, depending on what question types are used.

In our example, we set up a B2B Satisfaction Survey (PRO) survey, which includes a Star Rating question. As a result we see an option to send email if the question “Overall, how satisfied are you with our product?” is answered a certain way.

We’ll go ahead and set the conditions for an email notification to be sent if a site visitor rates Lower than the value of 4 for that question.

This way website owners and other stakeholders can be instantly notified, to help pay extra attention to reported issues by their site visitors and consider improvements.

That’s it! You’ve learned how to set up email notifications, including conditional logic to receive timely updates and stay informed.
