For this tutorial, we’ll use UserFeedback. It’s the best user feedback plugin for WordPress, with lots of cool features that make it simple to ask your visitors questions and get honest answers.
It’s easy to use and has many ready-made questions from the get-go. But you can also create your own questions to ask your visitors anything you’re curious about.

- You can customize the look with your website’s colors and logo.

To get started, first download UserFeedback at the license level you need for your site. You can also get started for free.
After signing up for UserFeedback, go to your account online and look for the Downloads tab. That’s where you’ll find the plugin file.
Open your WordPress site and find Plugins in the left menu. Click it and pick Add new.
You’ll see an Upload Plugin button – click that.
Find the UserFeedback file you just downloaded and upload it. Then, press the Install Now button and wait a bit.
You’ll see an Activate Plugin button when it’s done. Click it to activate UserFeedback.

Step 1: Build Your First UserSurvey
The initial step is to create your first UserFeedback survey. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect – you can always change it later.
To begin, you’ll see some ready-made questions you can use. Pick one that you like, or if you prefer, you can write your own question.
After you’ve chosen or created a question, click the Next Step button at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Choose What Features to Enable
Now, you’ll see a list of features you can turn on.
The number of features you can use depends on which type of UserFeedback license you bought.
Look at the list and turn on the features you want. If your license allows you to use all of them, feel free to do so.
Just click the switches next to each feature to enable them.
Step 3: Customize Your Notifications
In this step, you’ll set up how to get information about your survey answers.
First, type in the email address where you want UserFeedback to send survey results.
You’ll also see an option to receive important messages from the UserFeedback team – you can choose whether you want these or not.

After you’ve decided, you’re ready to proceed to the next part and publish your survey.

Step 4: Publish Your Survey
In this step, UserFeedback will set up all the extra features you picked earlier.
When your survey is ready, you’ll see a button that says Exit to Dashboard. Click this button to return to your main UserFeedback control area.
Step 5: Edit Your Survey
Now, it’s time to fine-tune your survey. You can work on the one you just made or start a brand-new one.
To change your existing survey, go to your WordPress admin area and click on UserFeedback » Surveys.
Move your mouse over your survey’s name and click the Edit link that appears.
On the next screen, you can change your survey questions and the message people see after they finish, add new questions, change old ones, and update your thank you note.
When you’re done, click the Next Step button at the bottom of the page.
You’ll now see the Settings page. Here, you can really personalize your survey.
You can turn Google Analytics tracking through MonsterInsights on or off at the top. However, we recommend keeping it on.
In the Targeting section, select where and when your survey appears.
You can also choose which devices (like phones or computers) and which pages of your site it appears on.
The Behavior section lets you decide when the survey pops up, how long it stays visible, how many days it should run, and if you want it to start off small and less noticeable.
After you’ve set all these options, click Next Step at the bottom.
On the Notifications screen, you can choose to receive an email whenever someone fills out your survey.
Now, head to the Publish page.
By default, the survey is set to go live later. If you want it to start immediately, switch off the Schedule for Later option.
Click Save and Schedule once you’re ready.
If you want to personalize the appearance of your survey even more, navigate to UserFeedback » Settings » Widget:
Here, you can edit the position, font, style, and more of your WordPress survey.
